My name is Jim “GonZo” McAnally and over the last several years I’ve found Im a marketing consultant.
6 years ago I found myself an overqualified, unemployed and hungry systems engineer at the beginning of the last economic crisis.
It was the dawn of the outsourcer – when H1B’s and worthless certifications from new squeaky job applicants claimed to be able to do my job for a fraction of the price.
Instead of pursuing a new exciting career at the local “QwikyMart” – I backed into the world of Google Adwords as an alternative.
Over the next few years I learned how to utilize adwords as a singular source of web traffic to propel a new video on demand site to become the major competition against the worlds largest player in the game.
Over the course of 8 years my list of responsibilities expanded to include marketing , communications as well as effective advertising.
I juggled the roles of spokesperson, press agent as well as “hacking the media” . Along the way I learned how to and add in a touch of what I called “stealth marketing” which ended up to include the early fundamentals of social marketing.
