filed in Marketing Tips on Mar.09, 2011
Each time Google changes the way its searches is a chance for you to bump your competitors out of that sweet spot for free organic traffic.
Here are some considerations when turning your pages for SEO.
- Make your content focused and clear. Keep your first time visitors interest in mind. If you dont your visitors will seek out elsewhere.
- Avoid content that doesn’t relate to your niche. Your sites content should be relevant to your website’s theme. Content that’s not relevant will not only impact your page rank, it will drive away visitors.
- Be mindful of organic inbound links. Your site on link lists / link dumps etc are pretty much worthless. The same can be said for paying for mass amounts of inbound links using link submission services. Google and other Search Engines can penalize you from hanging out in the garbage dump.
DOS Tip- Explore Social Media sites and make your link part of what is acceptable content on those sites for driving inbound links
- Update your content as often as possible. Updated content tells the visitor this isnt just another abandoned site which they will pay more attention and even come back
- Think more about mobile. You might even consider looking at subdomains that are built for smart phones and the new pad revolution.
